My view upon choosing the subject:Computing

The world of computer is growing at a very high rate everyday and computers has been the most influential tool in every human's lives. They are the most important part of our present as well as future. I chose to study Computing as I was interested in this field and I find it really fascinating. So, I decided to take this path leading to the field of I.T for my future plans.

We had to study different modules and those modules were Study Skills for Computing, Logic, Problem Solving IT, Introduction to Programming. Though it was not so easy to deal with the coursework of those particular subjects, however with lots of hard work and sincerity I did it quite well. I learned about many interesting topics. I was able to p[resent myself and work in a group which helped me increase my confidence level.

We had different modules where I could learn about different mathematics techniques, set theory, logical relations and functions as well. I also came to know how computer solves their problems using various structures in a very systematic way that the computer understands. Adding more to this, I have learnt about Algorithm and Flowchart and also learnt to use database and spreadsheets. 

"Introduction to Programming" was the hardest module for me. Despite of this, I practiced different questions from the workshop again and again, asked for help with my friends, tutor and finally overcame the difficulty I was facing. Java programming and coding languages was the best part that was quite interesting as well as most  difficult part that I have learnt with lots of effort and lots of practice. Bluej was also quite interesting and was more advanced topic. This module has helped me a lot increasing my skills in writing and tackling problems related to programming.

Over the past few months, studying Computing at this university has increased my knowledge and developed my interest in this subject more and more. With the knowledge I have gained from this subject, I will be able to make my future much bright and build a successful career. Utilizing the skills I have earned till now at the University, I believe I can see myself as a very successful person in my near future.

Presentation

Presentation is the way of communicating the things as they want to inform or persuade or train the audience. Presenting your view and opinion on any topic is not an easy task to perform as it makes people nervous thinking about the errors or mistakes they could make.

Every presenter needs to realize two things during their presentation: the first one is that they must be able to make the audience clearly understand what message they are trying to convey through their presentation and the second one is they should be able to make the audience pay attention to them.

Before presenting yourself in between the number of people, first you need to prepare yourself and plan that will lead you to feel less nervousness and build confidence inside you. And when you present with full confidence then, it will make audience attentive towards you. Thus, you will be able to communicate in a more appropriate way. 

First, know what your objectives are, what are the things that you want to deliver to the audience and then it will be more easy and comfortable to give presentation. You should meet up the expectations of the audience. Your presentation should not be too lengthy as it will make your audience feel boring and cause distraction from listening. 

Remember that your slides should not contain too much information as it will make your slides look ugly as well as it's not the appropriate way of presenting the things you want to inform the audience. In every presentation, less is always better than more. You can give your presentation with a short introduction of yourself and the topic on which you will be presenting. Then, a brief description of the subject that you chose and at last end it with a short conclusion. During your presentation, you can add some interesting things to say in order to attract the attention of the audience but stay within the limit. Your words should not hurt or embarrass the audience.

Before every presentation, you should first rehearse unless you get perfect and this will help you give a very good presentation. So, all you need to do is prepare yourself before every presentation.  These are some way that will help us give a presentation in a very good and efficient way.
